Welcome to the farm!
About the farm
My name is Liz. I love family, helping people, nature, animals, gardening, and dirt. In the last couple of years, I have fallen more in love with flowers, especially dahlias. I love their variety, beauty, and how they go with absolutely everything! They also grow very well in the Pacific Northwest and thrive in the deep-mulch, no-till, regenerative style of gardening that I have used for at least the last 15 years.
We have Nubian goats, chickens, a dog, two cats, and occasionally a pet praying mantis. We have the goats mostly as pets and for their delicious and nutritious milk. I also utilize their bedding and droppings for compost. Their favorite time of year is Fall, when I cut down the garden and feed them the leaves.
I follow organic gardening practices but the garden is not certified. In the future, I hope to be able to virus test some of my stock but it is prohibitively expensive at this time. In the meantime, I clean my shears with bleach between every snip and aggressively cull plants that are underperforming or deformed.
